Please review the information on this page as well as our full league rules page in preparation for the season. Indoor soccer at TRIBE is designed to be fast-paced, non-stop action in a positive atmosphere. Games will be competitive, but the culture should be healthy and inclusive for all soccer-loving people participating!
Overview of Gameplay:
TEAM DETAILS AND LOGISTICS
Take a few minutes to review and save your team roster. Knowing the player's names will help you organize the team and communicate more effectively during the game.
If you need to send a message to your team throughout the season, you should have contact info with your roster. Please contact us if you need help with this.
Arrive early to greet your players and teach them the basic format and gameplay.
Basic Principles of Soccer
Not sure where to start? Use these infographics below as basic coaching points with your team. When in doubt, keep it simple. Offer positive reinforcement and encouragement. Let players learn just by playing the game. Don't "over-coach" your team...that's a sure way to demotivate and confuse them. Your number one job is to provide a safe, positive environment for them to LEARN through GAMEPLAY.
Use phrases and guiding questions like:
- Great job! Nice try! Keep going!
- What can you try? (Dribbling, shooting, passing)
- Who are you guarding?
- Where will the ball go next?
- How can we score?
- How can we defend our goal?
